Phone Verification

Overview

Brevity users can now add and verify their phone numbers in their account profiles. Phone verification will be required to enable upcoming mobile-based Brevity features, including Brevity Play and phone-based role plays.

Adding and Verifying a Phone Number as a Brevity User

To add and verify your phone number to your Brevity profile:

1. Click your initials or profile picture in the upper-right corner of the Brevity window, then select My Profile to access your profile page.
2. In the Phone Number section, enter your phone number, including Country code, in the Phone number field and click Verify. 
3. In the Verify your phone number window, verify that the phone number you entered is correct. 
4. Check the box to consent to the privacy policy and terms of service.
5. Click Call me to receive a verification call, or click Send me a code to receive a verification text message.
6. Follow the steps in the verification call or text message to complete verification.

Monitoring Phone Verification as an Admin User

From Team and Group user lists, you can see which users have entered and verified their phone numbers in the Phone column.

Requesting Phone Verification as an Admin User

To send an email request to a user to verify a phone number:

1. From a Team or Group user list, click the three-dots menu to the right of the user.
2. Click Send email reminder to verify phone number.

Alternately, you can request that multiple users verify their phone numbers:

1. Check the select box for each user who should receive a verification request.
2. Click the bulk Actions button.
3. Click Send email reminder to verify phone number.
