In this article, we will cover the feature in Brevity that allows for customization of the AI Response Speed. This feature enables you control the speed of AI responses and interruptions during role-play practice sessions.
Available across various levels – Team/Group, Assignment, and User – this feature ensures your practice sessions are as effective and engaging as possible.
The AI Response Speed setting comes in four distinct modes, each designed to accommodate different training needs and preferences:
1. Super Chill (3-5s):
Interruptions: Very minimal
Response Time: 3-5 seconds after you finish speaking
Ideal For: Thoughtful, deliberate dialogue where you need time to formulate responses.
2. Chill (2-4s):
Interruptions: Minimal
Response Time: 2-4 seconds after concluding your remarks
Ideal For: Maintaining a relaxed yet engaging conversation flow.
3. Balanced (1-3s):
Interruptions: Limited
Response Time: 1-3 seconds after you stop speaking
Ideal For: Fluent and natural exchanges that closely mimic real-life interactions.
Note: This is the default setting.
4. Rapid (1-2s):
Interruptions: May occur during short pauses
Response Time: 1-2 seconds, making for a dynamic and fast-paced dialogue
Ideal For: Simulating brisk, high-energy conversations.
How to Use AI Response Speed Settings
At the Practice Level:
Individual users can adjust the Response Speed setting directly within their conversation settings (new), tailoring their personal practice environment to their preferred pace.
Adjusting the response speed using a slider is easy. The default setting is "Balanced," but you can change it to another option, such as "Chill." Simply click on the setting and select "set default."
